While President of Cinema Film Systems David developed this electronic projector for which he received patent credit as co-inventor with Richard "Dick" Niccum.

This was David's second visit to Russia since he formed a Sister City relationship between Zvyozdny Gorodok and Nassau Bay two years earlier.  

David with an EVA space glove used by Russian cosmonaut Aleksei Leonov in training for the first spacewalk.  The right-hand glove, a gift from Leonov, was presented by Star City Museum Director Ivan Kolotov on May 24, 1997.  The glove was autographed by V. Gagarina (the widow of Yuri Gagarin) and Soviet era cosmonauts A. Leonov, G. Titov, V. Shatalov, K. Feoktistov, and V. Polyakov.  The glove was presented in recognition of David producing the first Star City Musuem exhibit outside Russia.  In the photo David stands next to Yuri Gagarin's test flight suit.  (24-May-1997)

David appears on the front page of the Houston Post to explain the cause of a fire that displaced 138 Nassau Bay apartment residents.
